Your car will be delivered in Faro Airport or your accommodation as requested.
On arrival in Portugal please call the free phone number below to finalize
arrangements for the delivery of your car. The office is open from 09.00
to 19.00 seven days a week. The reps will not set off to deliver your
car until you have confirmed your arrival. Deliveries are normally made
between 08:00 and 22:30. If your hotel or apartment is booked in a different
name to that on this reservation please let us have the other name to
facilitate contact should the reps need to ask for you at your reception.
Please note that mobile phones on roaming services may not call free phone
services and that you may need to dial a national code to call Portuguese
numbers (00351). At the airport you will be met in the arrivals area by
a representative of YOR car hire-Young Original car hire.
Please look out for someone with a sign YOR car hire. As you come through the sliding doors from baggage reclaim please
follow the barrier round to your left. Ahead of you and to your right
you will see the car hire reps waiting area (near the POLICE STATION).
If you do not see the airport rep as you come out of the arrivals area
he may be with another client. He has a mobile phone and you may call

There is a public phone near the arrivals area. We do not have a desk
in the airport.
You may alternatively between 09.00 and 19.00 call the freephone number
shown below and our office staff will call the airport rep for you. Please
note that mobile phones on roaming services may not call free phone services
and that you may need to dial a national code to call Portuguese numbers
(00351).
The car will be on our car park at airport car park No. 4 Row G. On leaving
the front of the terminal building please cross the road and the pay car
park in front of you. Our car park is across the road on the far side
of the pay car park about 200 meters from the terminal building. If you
have a trolley you may wish to follow the road to your right around the
edge of the car park.
When returning the car to Faro airport please park it on the car park
from where you collected it. There is a swipe card on the sun visor to
allow access to the car park. Please replace the card on the sun visor
as the airport authority charge 25 euros for replacement cards. If the
rep is unable to be there to welcome you please leave the car unlocked
with the key on top of the drivers wheel. Please rest assured that if
you do not meet the rep in the normal course your deposit card slip will
be destroyed without delay.
Please do not leave the car on any other car park, as you will remain
responsible for hire fees and our expenses. If there has been any damage
or other loss to the car please call the rep on the number above. It is
in your interest to agree the damage with him before leaving.
Each car may have two named drivers. They will need to have their passports
and drivers license at commencement of hire and at all times when
driving. Hire charges are payable on collection of the car by cash or
card.

If you are using our child seats please bring a towel or other cover
to help us to keep the child seats clean for clients children. The child
seats that we have are standard forward facing child seats generally suitable
for children from 6 months to 2 and a half years. We also have booster
cushions for older children. Where parents are concerned as to the suitability
of the seats we provide we would always recommend that they consider,
for peace of mind, bringing their own seats.
To assist in fuel economy modern cars are of very lightweight construction.
As a result of much damage caused by clients over loading roof racks we
now only fit roof racks to the Corsa. You are responsible for what you
carry on the roof rack and for any damage that it may cause to the car.
We ask you to take great care. Clients should supply their own tie downs
suitable for the baggage they intend to carry.
There is a returnable deposit against the satisfactory return of the
car. The insurance has an excess as shown on the website.
The prices for the rental of the car are based on the pick up and drop off at Faro Airport.
If you pay cash for the hire of the car you will be asked to pay the
50 euro and excess deposit.
If you pay with credit card for the hire you will be charged an extra 4%, so it is always advisable to pay in cash.
If you pay by credit card we ask you to complete a card slip as security
for the amount of the deposit and excess. However this is not submitted
to the bank unless there is a claim, so in the normal course you will
not actually pay a deposit for either the excess. At the end of the hire
the slip is returned to you and you should destroy it without delay.
We do not ask for a reservation deposit so I will not need your card
details over the Internet.
The hire includes unlimited mileage within Portugal. If you wish to go
to Spain you will need a bail bond and green card from our insurers. There
is a charge of 50 euro.
In addition to compulsory third party insurance, collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft cover are provided.
Personal accident insurance is not included. Insurance cover is subject to an excess and your maximum liability is indicated below. Here is the price for optional waiver of the excess:

Group D / E / F/ - excess 550 Euro
Minibus/Cabriolet/Jeep - excess 1000 Euro
PAI - Personal Accident Insurance only 4 Euro / day availalbe on request.
Should you have an accident or the car is broken into or any other event
that requires a claim on the insurance you must call the police and get
an incident report number. Without this the insurance will not pay the
claim and it is your responsibility to obtain the police report number
and deliver it to us. If you have any difficulties with this please do
not hesitate to call the office and we will be happy to help. Please call
our office to report any loss or damage even if the car remains driveable.
At the end of the hire please return the car with the same amount of
petrol as at the start of the hire. The nearest petrol station is approx
300 meters from the airport. Follow the airport approach road until you
join the main Faro road. There are petrol stations in both directions
approx 1 kilometre beyond the road junction. Please note that there are
no petrol stations on the motorway along the Algarve and you should take
the opportunity to fill up at the petrol station mentioned above. Returning
to the airport there is no accessible petrol station on the motorway or
the approaches to the airport. We recommend that you call at a petrol
station at the start of your journey. It is for this reason that we do
not operate a full tank policy.
